Cooperation with the military

Collaboration with the Military represents the partnership between the NGO “FACE TO FACE” and military personnel, units, volunteers, businesses, and other partners to respond rapidly to defenders’ needs, mobilize required resources, and execute joint initiatives supporting Ukraine’s defense.

There must be no chasm between the army and society. Between those holding weapons and those for whom they are held, there must be a bridge.

We aim to build precisely such a bridge.

For us, collaboration with the military is not about showing up once a year with gifts, taking a few photos, and walking away. It means continuous contact, trust, concrete work, and accountability for outcomes.

The Ukrainian military has long ceased to be the sole responsibility of service members. It has become the cause of the entire society. The state itself recognizes the critical value of interaction between the Armed Forces and civic organizations, leveraging the potential of civil society to strengthen defense capabilities.

We strive to build a direct, honest dialogue with the military to hear their actual needs rather than invent them ourselves.

When help is needed—we seek ways to provide it.
When informational support is required—we help bring the issue to public attention.
When a service member or their family requires legal or social assistance—we connect them with specialists and solutions.
When there is an opportunity to engage partners—we unite them around a specific task.

Without performative heroism. Without noise. Without playing at charity.

We need a system where a service member knows: if they reach out, they will be heard; if there is a problem, it will not be shelved; if help can be provided, it will not be lost in bureaucracy.

We also view this collaboration beyond material support. It includes supporting military families, assisting veterans in transitioning back to civilian life, legal literacy initiatives, cultural and educational activities, and engagement with communities and partners.

Because a service member does not cease to be a human being when putting on a uniform.

They still have a family, the right to respect, the right to be heard, the right to assistance, and the right to know that the society they defend will not forget them upon their return.

We want to be an organization that does not disappear after delivering another wave of aid.

Our principle is simple: as the military defends the country, society must defend them from indifference.

If there is a distance between the front line and the rear, we will shorten it through action.

Because true unity is not achieved when everyone repeats the same words.
It is achieved when everyone carries out their part of the shared duty.
